I was driving around the Angelino Heights area of Los Angeles the other day, and noticed both Edgeware and Kensington roads either intersect or are parallel there. I had never seen that part of town before, but there are all these amazing Victorian houses. Just wondering if "20 Years" has anything to do with that area, or if it's a coincidence that those streets are both mentioned. Maybe Jeff or an insanely obsessive Idaho fan can shed some light on this.
those also refer to a district and a street in london. so it could probably go either way. though there is the reference to a "winter-covered coat," and l.a. doesn't get much snow... but who knows? nice catch, either way.
do those streets really intersect in angelino heights?? thats crazy! no, the 20 years lyrics refer to london. i lived there in the early 80's in south kensington and would take the tube to edgeware road to mix my music.

i've also always thought this was a reference to angelino heights! perhaps in part because of the reference of being stuck on the 101 for hours in 'for granted'. london makes a helluva lot more sense!

Just visited London for the first time. Song makes a lot more sense now! I was around that area and either stopped at or went past South Kensington and Edgeware on the tube.
ryan, if i had know you were going i could have given you the exact addresses that correspond to the lyrics :)
