...hearts of palm and alas just about into the ground for the last 6 months. and lone gunman's gotten a good amount of rotation as well.

so my question for you, jeff:

what's the latest update on the new album?!

i saw a post from a couple of years ago that said it was shaping up to be the sister of hearts of palm. is that still the case? any idea on a release date?

much thanks for the music and your regular communication with fans.

im in the midst of recording a very "this way out" ish song at the moment strangely enough. i wouldnt say the new stuff is like hearts of palm now after all.... definitely its own thing....not sure if the new stuff fits well with the run of songs i did back in late '06 though....we'll see. if the scoring work stays quiet this summer that bodes well for a new idaho in the fall/winter of this year

good to hear that the guitars will be up front again. I love those things!

jeff: will the album be a good mix of guitar songs and piano songs--or will it be more of one than the other?

I've been listening to year after year lately.

az gal, do you listen to track 7 on TWO? Sometimes I think I'm the only one who really digs that song.

hey jeff hey green (need music recommendations!!)

oooh a this way out type of song can't wait! Jonathan L (DJ) gave me the This Way Out tape (yes tape) and I listened to the entire thing obsessively. I think I still have that tape too.

I've also had to replace my This Way Out CD 2x now.

My TWO CD is on it's way out actually. Three Sheets to the Wind is gonna need to be replaced. I'm so not hip to the Ipod movement (yet). I need to get around to that sometime.

az gal,

I've been kind of stuck when it comes to listening to music lately. So i've been re-discovering some bands like Cap'n Jazz, Cocteau Twins, Make Believe, Ivy, and Tears for Fears. And IDAHO is always in rotation (I'm LOVING the piano number on Three Sheets). I got into some hip hop for a while and I listen to a lot of piano heavy jazz when I'm driving around (though I never know who the artist are). but I kind of like it that way.

But really, all this stuff just helps me pass the time until the new IDAHO album drops.

Man, I've been all about the Year After Year era lately...never liked it so much before! Especially People Like Us Should Be Stopped. That shit is intense.

Funny, I just played "People Like Us..." last night for the first time in ages. The power in those live recordings is sometimes chilling - intense indeed! The coda to "tear" is astonishing.

YAY was my first intro to Idaho, and is still my second favorite Idaho album (just behind Alas).

And I am much looking forward to the new Idaho album... I loved The Lone Gunman, but do sort of miss the guitars... so it's good to hear they may make a resurgence on the new album.
